11-20-20
Think with me for a moment... How blessed we are that Jesus “FINISHED”
His work! We awakened to a new day of HOPE! It is a
GIFT and a BLESSING from GOD!
2Tim 1:9 who has saved us and called us with a holy
calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and
grace which was granted us in Christ Jesus from all eternity,
It can’t
be said any better than that.
Eph 2:5 even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive
together with Christ (by grace you have been saved),
Titus 3:4-5 But when the kindness of God our Savior and
His love for mankind appeared, 5 He saved us, not on the basis
of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His
mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit,
2Thes 2:13-17 But we should always give thanks to God for
you, brethren beloved by the Lord, because God has chosen you from the
beginning for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and faith in the
truth. 14 It was for this He called you through our gospel,
that you may gain the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. 15 So then,
brethren, stand firm and hold to the traditions which you were taught, whether
by word of mouth or by letter from us. 16 Now may our Lord Jesus Christ
Himself and God our Father, who has loved us and given us eternal comfort
and good hope by grace, 17 comfort and strengthen your hearts in every
good work and word.
My thoughts this morning began in Rom 4:1-8
What then shall we say that Abraham, our forefather according to
the flesh, has found? 2 For if Abraham was justified by
works, he has something to boast about, but not before God. 3
For what does the Scripture say? "ABRAHAM BELIEVED GOD, AND IT WAS CREDITED
TO HIM AS RIGHTEOUSNESS." 4 Now to the one who works, his wage
is not credited as a favor, but as what is due. 5 But to the one
who does not work, but believes in Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith
is credited as righteousness, 6 just as David also speaks of the
blessing on the man to whom God credits righteousness apart from works: 7
"BLESSED ARE THOSE WHOSE LAWLESS DEEDS HAVE BEEN FORGIVEN, AND WHOSE
SINS HAVE BEEN COVERED. 8 "BLESSED IS THE MAN WHOSE SIN THE LORD
WILL NOT TAKE INTO ACCOUNT."
The awesome beauty of God’s GRACE, MERCY and LOVE toward us is worded by
the Spirit above! How blessed we are that Jesus “FINISHED” His work! There
is nothing new above, just the powerful “OLD, OLD STORY of
Jesus and His love”. We sing that song!
Sing it TODAY!
My Prayer:
We praise you our God for your great demonstrated love toward us. We walk
in light and live in hope because of your awesome love and grace. May we
with each breath, show our gratitude and love. We ask that you
occupy every small part of our lives. We desire a closer walk with you
each day you let us live. In the name of Jesus
Amen
